Interested in attending law school, but wondering how best to prepare? Come join us on Monday, September 8 at 6:30pm in 1090 Lincoln Hall as we hear from an Illinois alum, Theodore Boone BA ’83, who will talk about why majoring in philosophy is excellent preparation for law school! Afterwards, join us for pizza and casual conversation in the LAS Hub at 7:30.

“But I already have a major!,” you say,. Bear in mind that students at Illinois can also easily study philosophy as a second major (the major only requires 32 hours of PHIL coursework!), allowing you to not only receive a rigorous education in the discipline from world-class faculty, but to cultivate a variety of skills – close reading, analytical thinking, clear and concise writing, among others – that would be valuable in law school.

If you’re interested in attending, please register at http://go.illinois.edu/philosophyandlaw so we know how much food to order!
