Dr. Norwood will review a number of new advances in pharmacology, technology and science that may impact the future management of pediatric kidney disease. Discussions will include research and systems issues that impact the development of innovations in pediatric medicine and note areas where advocacy may speed progress.
About the Speaker
Dr. Victoria Norwood is Robert J. Roberts Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia where she has focused her career on the practice of pediatric nephrology and medical education. She has served as Division Head of Pediatric Nephrology and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs. In addition to continuing her active practice in nephrology, Dr. Norwood just completed a term on the Review Committee for Pediatrics of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and is the ChairElect of the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional goals are to support positive systematic change for the health of children and families by maximizing the education and training of future pediatricians.
