Our popular Summer Break Program series concludes with an educational and fun field trip to Museum of the Grand Prairie and Lake of the Woods in nearby Mahomet, Illinois (Champaign County Forest Preserves). Learn about local history, ecology and nature at the museum, meet new friends and explore the botanical gardens. Then after a delicious lunch, hike the trails in the woods or paddle or kayak on the lake* for a relaxing afternoon.
Space is limited for this event. RSVP is required and you must be available the entire day (9:30a-4:30p) and take the bus there and back. Current Illinois students are eligible to register.

This field trip is free to RSVP and includes transportation to the park, lunch (meat and non-meat options available), and rental boating in the afternoon weather permitting. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Plan ahead for the weather. Everyone who RSVPs will be contacted with more details before the trip.
If there are still spaces available as of July 30, we will open up the RSVP for non-students. Thank you for understanding.
