As a part of the University of Illinois’ Illinois In Washington program, Luca had the unique opportunity to intern and study in Washington D.C. during the spring semester of 2025. Interning with the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, a 501(c)3, he had a front row seat to interactions between different NGOs, experts, elected officials, and governments, as well as to the first months of the second Trump administration. He will discuss his work at the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, his experiences working in D.C., and share his perspectives of working in a fast-pace, rapidly changing environment.

Luca Iasinschi is a undergraduate senior majoring in Political Science with a concentration International Relations and a minor Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies.
