Classroom observation is a familiar form of peer review of teaching; however, it is prone to reliability problems and criticisms, due to inexperienced observers, inherent biases, and poor data collection. Join us as we practice a peer observation method that is more reliable and valuable for both observee and observer.

This hand-on workshop will be especially useful for faculty members and academic professionals in Mathematics who conduct peer evaluations for faculty mentoring, teaching awards, supervision of TAs, and promotion and tenure reviews.

Please RSVP by email to Richard Laugesen <Laugesen@illinois.edu> so that we know how many copies of the materials to prepare.
