Prof. Brenner will discuss his recently published book, a study of Muslim, Christian, and endogenous religious traditions in Sub-Saharan Africa as complex, constantly evolving, and interacting social phenomena. This talk will focus on examples of Muslim thought and practice. The book's first chapter can be accessed here; reading is recommended. All welcome!
