Healthy boundaries. We all know we should have them--in order to achieve work/life balance, cope with toxic people, and enjoy rewarding relationships with partners, friends, and family. But what do "healthy boundaries" really mean--and how can we successfully express our needs, say "no," and be assertive without offending others?
Join the staff of the Women's Resources Center this summer as we discuss the the revolutionary sexuality education text "Set Boundaries, Find Peace" written by Nedra Tawwab. During our conversations, we will examine the messages we've received about boundaries, explore the challenges we've encountered in trying to establish boundaries with people in our lives, and identify meaningful action steps for how to move forward.
Limited copies of the book are available on a first come, first served basis by request. Students (undergraduate & graduate) will be prioritized.Register here: https://go.illinois.edu/wrcboundariesbook
We will be offering two discussion opportunities. One will take place at the Women's Resources Center on Tuesday, July 10, from 2 - 4 PM at the Women's Resources Center (616 E Green St, Suite #213); the second will take virtually place via Zoom on Tuesday, July 24, from 2 - 4 PM.
While we recommend participants read the full text, we will be focusing on chapters 1 & 4 during the July 10th discussion, and chapters 8 & 9 during the July 24 discussion.
