Each qualitative research project requires a unique combination of analysis strategies in order to move from data to answers to your research question. But given the diversity of data types and questions explored with qualitative data, how do you decide what to do?
This workshop offers an introduction to qualitative data analysis (QDA) strategies, a framework for choosing relevant strategies, and an overview of the technology for QDA.
By the end of the workshop, we hope you'll be able to:
- Identify 1-2 strategies for analyzing qualitative data for your own research project OR describe 1-2 commonly used strategies for QDA in qualitative research projects
- Describe at least 1 element of your project that shapes how you will decide which strategies to use for a project.
- Identify technology that could facilitate your qualitative research project.
This workshop will be in-person in Library 314 and will not be recorded. An online version of this workshop will be offered on Friday, September 12, which will be recorded and made available online at the Qualitative Data Analysis research guide. Anyone who registers for the in-person or online version of this workshop will receive an email with a link to the recording and slides.
If you have specific questions you'd like to see addressed in the workshop, please indicate those on the registration form or contact Jess Hagman (jhagman@illinois.edu).
THIS SESSION WILL BE TAUGHT IN-PERSON (314 MAIN LIBRARY)
