Abstract: Raccoons and fishers are two important mammal species in the North America due to being a source of human wildlife conflict and economic resource. Bayesian modeling can help provide insights about these species to inform management. N-mixture modeling and state-space models are two types of models capable of investigating questions surrounding site use and population dynamics. Such research can provide valuable information to inform effective management.
