Center for the Study of Global Gender Equity

The University of Illinois Archives is hosting a monthly Women in Science Lecture Series that will feature speakers from across the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s diverse and multidisciplinary scientific enterprise. The lecture series seeks to highlight the important innovations and contributions of women in the sciences at the University of Illinois, and center the importance of documenting women scientists and engineers to create a diverse and inclusive archival record.  

Dr. Pinshane Huang, Professor and Racheff Faculty Scholar of Materials Science and Engineering, will discuss her research on transmission electron microscopy and spectroscopy of two-dimensional materials and soft-hard interfaces. 

It will be held at 12pm CST on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Please note this lecture will be hybrid - you can either attend in person in the University Archives (room 146, Main Library) or via Zoom (a link will be emailed to you after registration).
