Undergraduate students are encouraged to come learn about Humanities in Action, a semester-long community engagement program sponsored by We CU and the Humanities Research Institute that allows students to apply their humanities training in the Champaign-Urbana community.
Selected students can expect to connect with like-minded peers in a small cohort experience, participate in workshops, and have access to mini grants that offset the costs associated with their service. Additionally, to help remove some of the financial barriers that prevent students from taking advantage of community engagement opportunities, selected students will receive $1000 to support their participation.
Come learn about the application, the small cohort experience, and the ways Humanities in Action can help you practice community engagement.
