Pamela Riney-Kehrberg is Distinguished Professor of History at Iowa State University, where she has taught since 2000. She is a Fellow of the Agricultural History Society, and also winner of the Agricultural History Society’s James C. Giesen Award for Excellence in Teaching Rural and Agricultural History, as well as the Gladys Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Agricultural History. She is the author or editor of seven books. Her most recent book is When a Dream Dies: Agriculture, Iowa, and the Farm Crisis of the 1980s, winner of the Benjamin F. Schambaugh Prize for the most significant book in Iowa history, 2022, and the Dorothy Hubbard Schwieder Award for excellence in historical research, 2023.
