Explore sustainability across campus! Join the EcoReps for a new Sustainability Walking Tour featuring 13 sustainability sites and initiatives!
This hour-long tour will begin at 10 a.m. at the Red Oak Rain Garden, just south of Allen Hall on Dorner Drive in Urbana.
You will learn where to find sustainable transportation options on campus, how to reduce waste through composting and recycling, and how you can get involved in sustainability initiatives! Tour highlights include the Sustainability Living and Learning Community at Illinois Street Residence Halls; the Morrow Plots, the oldest continuously used experimental agricultural field in the United States; the vast system of bike paths and biking resources on campus; the Literature, Languages and Cultures Building, where iSEE's Illini Lights Out program kicks off on designated Fridays; the Main Quad, which hosts the Sustainapalooza festival, Earth Day celebrations and other sustainability events; LEED-certified sustainable buildings such as the Campus Instructional Facility, and much more! All are welcome!
