    The UICOMP Class of 1979 are cordially invited to attend a special gathering. Dr. Carl E. Strauch, UICOMP Class of 1979, was selected to receive the 2018 Alumnus of the Year award, so we are bringing the whole class together to celebrate.

    The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria Class of 2018 will receive their medical degrees Saturday, May 5 at the Peoria Civic Center.

    This event will provide training, information, and resources for Emergency Physicians, Family Medicine Practitioners, OB/GYNs, Behavioral Health Practitioners, NPs, APNs and Medical Students to increase the knowledge and skills to provide PrEP to patients at high risk for contracting HIV.

    Join Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis and his group of "roasters" (which includes Regional Dean Dr. Sara Rusch) for a night of laughter at Rex Linder's expense. All proceeds from the Mayor's roast will be equally divided between the Mark Linder Walk for the Mind and OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois.

    The 11th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium is designed to educate all physicians and healthcare professionals regarding the current diagnosis, staging, and treatment of breast cancer in a comprehensive, multidisciplinary fashion by leaders in their fields from all over the country.

    The Harvesting Hope fundraising gala helps the Pediatric Resource Center ensure its clinics are staffed with special-trained providers and case coordinators so children receive the services they need. Funds raised also help the PRC provide education to physicians and nurses regarding child abuse and neglect.

    The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria honors dozens of its faculty and physicians for their dedicated teaching and award-winning research at this annual event. Also recognized will be recipients of the 2018 Community Health Awards.

    The Tracy Trot, a 4-mile run and 2-mile walk held at the East Peoria Levee District, is the primary fundraiser for the Theresa Tracy Strive to Survive charitable foundation created to help in the battle against pancreatic cancer. Funds raised go to help supporting pancreatic cancer research at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria and Illinois Cancer Care.
